Sierra Kusterbeck Tour Diary, Part 3

The frontwoman of rockers VersaEmerge reports from the road on their first-ever headlining tour

Sierra Kusterbeck is the lead singer for Florida-based pop rock trio VersaEmerge whose debut LP, Fixed at Zero (Fueled By Ramen), was released this summer while the band was on Warped Tour. Leave any preconceptions you may have about Fueled By Ramen and Warped Tour artists at the door—VersaEmerge creates catchy, slick power pop and have a powerful vocalist in Kusterbeck. Check ‘em out, and then catch the band on the road during their first-ever headlining tour now.

Hello hello!

Sierra here reporting back in from the "Vultures Unite Tour." We have finally made it to the halfway mark and it's been amazing! We've recently hit the Midwest and were pleasantly surprised at the enthusiasm from the fans that came out to the show. This past week has included 9 hour overnight drives and consuming nothing but Jimmie John’s. We played an acoustic set at an independent record store in Denver and I finally purchased the Die Antwoord record! Their sound is very odd yet strong and addicting and something everyone should check out! Today we’re in St. Louis and performed bright and early for a local morning TV show before spending some time playing in the park under the big Gateway arch. I'm pretty sure it's a portal and one day when the weather, time, and planet alignment is just right a wormhole will appear…

Anyway, here are a few more pictures from the past week:

Crowd surfing at our Anaheim show at Chain Reaction

Me and a fan in Seattle

I finally cut off my first dread in Portland! I've had it for three years—soooo long!

Me and Chris (our drummer) playing in the forest in Northern California. Crazy trees! Nothing like you would ever see at home in Florida.

This is one of the cooler/more interesting things a fan has brought me: a life size cardboard cutout of me! The picture is from Versa’s very first promo shoot about three years ago when I was 17. Things have changed a LOT.

After St. Louis, we’re heading to Canada and the East Coast. I can't wait for these shows! Thanks for taking another journey with me in week three of the tour, and I'll see ya next week!
