Lissie attracts stars in Hollywood

It’s amazing to see artists like Lissie, who has a budding career without an ego and is truly passionate abut her music. The singer-songwriter’s headlining show at Hollywood’s Music Box was a night of wonderful alt-country music with a low-key vibe which attracted such notable attendees as Katy Perry, Marina Diamandis (Marina and the Diamonds, who will be touring with Perry this summer), David Lynch, and Perez Hilton. She had a great energy, entering the stage shyly waving to the audience. Having spent some time in L.A., she understood the significance of playing a venue this size, mentioning how she once played the much smaller Cranes and always dreamed of playing here.
Lissie is a great storyteller and she noted between songs that she loved how the power of music brings people together. And bring people together her tunes did, as everyone in the audience was polite and singing along with the lyrics.
Her voice was absolutely gorgeous live, resonating throughout the venue, even when she wasn't close to the microphone, and despite her shy entrance, seemed completely at home on stage. It should be exciting to see what Lissie has in store for us next.
