Montreal-based “sneakerographer” Al Cabino has started an online petition urging Nike to manufacture the sneakers that Marty McFly wore in Back To the Future II. The silver and turquoise über high-tops from 2015 were never made available to the public, but Cabino is determined to change that. Since November 2005, the petition (petitiononline.com/future2/petition.html) has received more than 3,500 signatures from people all over the world, including Sarah of the Parisian boutique Colette, Kanye West, and Michael J. Fox himself. Once a “respectable” number of signatures have been collected, Cabino plans to hand-deliver the petition to Nike’s Oregon headquarters. It’s great that he’s passionate about sneaker culture, but would you really want to wear them?
