In Dress To Kill, Eddie Izzard gives it his all in a comedy show that mixes elements of shock, unusual subject matter, and historical info. Izzard, who calls himself a British “executive transvestite,” has appeared movies and TV series(The Riches, Valkayrie, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Oceans Twelve, Oceans Thirteen). Dress To Kill, however, shows a completely different side of Izzard.
I am usually not a fan of stand-up, but the thing that differentiates Izzard from many comedians is that instead of just throwing out jokes, he tells stories about everything from World War II to the Church of England to the European Union.
Dress To Kill is the first time I saw Izzard and after watching it, I became an immediate fan. He's a born performer from head to toe. Along with telling jokes, his facial expressions and body language make Dress To Kill one of the most entertaining comedy shows I've ever watched. I like Izzard so much I bought all of his DVDs, and I recommend him to all of my friends as an intelligent alternative to the other comedy that's out there.
