Although I'm only furnishing a small apartment, I lust after the eco-friendly furniture of A Piece of Cleveland (APOC). As the old buildings and historic landmarks of Cleveland are torn down, APOC takes what would be going into a landfill and turns it into a new creation. Through this process of deconstruction, they are upcycling resources and preserving a bit of history, too, crafting everything from wine racks to conference tables. When you buy a piece, you get a certificate which includes the story behind the materials' former life.
