Julie Schuchard loves Deerhoof at Noise Pop Festival

I like to think of Deerhoof as San Francisco's version of Sonic Youth; their art rock ethics still hold true even after years in the spotlight. Deerhoof performances are like rare gems, no two are the same. This makes them my favorite pick for this year's Noise Pop festival. Not to mention the fact they will be sharing the stage with Yoko Ono. I expect this night will be nothing short of magical.

Deerhoof performs at 7:00 p.m. at the Fox Theater
